I’m not used to this from the house of Joop, their scents are usually such powerhouses, and if this were a better performer I’d absolutely love it. A spicy, woody, smokey fragrance, definitely masculine, but with all Joop's they tend to become sweet. I've had it on for around 14 and a half hours today, and it's still going strong on me - have very much enjoyed it - though now it smells more like Elizabeth Taylor's Passion for Men, as it's pretty much just the vanilla that is left emanating. I found the opening to be a dry, spicy resinous feel with a nearly rubbery texture, getting sweeter hints and more saturated by a ‘sexy’ Tonka accord.The warm and slightly sweet aroma of the tobacco is often rounded off with floral and woody fragrances. On the other hand, the base is a very powerful blend of viral notes: fresh and aromatic vetiver, rich tonka bean and a hint of precious incense. Very dark and mysterious, not for everyone, smells like a roughly done or an incomplete niche fragrance. starts off with spicy/dry tonka type notes, not so much of a sweet tonka, add into that a spicy black pepper which lasts through the phases, it then dries down into a spicy/peppery vetiver scent with a slight touch of ylang ylang in there too.
