About this deal

Our Verdict: The B4FM Bluetooth headset is compatible with most Bluetooth enabled devices, will work with every type of smartphone, and offers a hands-free operation so you can ride and answer calls, forward calls, make calls, listen to FM radio, stream music, or speak to your other riding buddies via the voice conferencing feature. It also features a longer than average battery life, so it’s perfect for longer rides, or for the rider who’s guilty of forgetting to charge their devices. The universal pairing feature makes the headset compatible with most types of Bluetooth earpieces and headsets on the market. The THOKWOK Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset is one of Lexin’s top competitors, and while it offers many of the same features, it has a voice conference range of just half a mile, which can be a dealbreaker for some riders. Lexin has definitely outdone itself by offering a one-mile range, which will allow you to stay connected to your friends at all times. Noise Canceling

This model allows you to communicate hands-free, for a safer riding experience. With this type of headset, you can access Siri to control the headset, search the internet, answer or forward a call, end a call, and more. It’s also compatible with S Voice for Samsung voice commands, which also allows you to receive or make calls hands-free, access FM radio, listen to music, or listen to GPS directions. Universal Pairing and Voice ConferenceDurable, compact, and designed to work with most helmet brands, this headset will not take up too much space in a helmet, however, the large earpads can make it uncomfortable to wear for a long period of time if you’re dealing with a full-face helmet that doesn’t have any recessed space inside that’s meant to accommodate a headset. This headset can withstand anything that mother nature throws at it and will still operate the same and keep you well-connected with other riders. The only issue you may run into is difficulty hearing your buddies on the voice conference if you’re dealing with high winds, however, this is a very common issue for most headsets. FM Radio This model is versatile and able to work with other models of Bluetooth compatible headsets, all smartphones, MP3 players, and other Bluetooth devices. You may have trouble with the voice conference feature at times since it can lag and cause a type of echoing effect that will make it difficult to communicate with your fellow riders. You can then turn on the connections by pressing the intercom button on one of the bridges to start the bridge to bridge connection, then each end unit until all 4 intercoms are talking. Many models in this price range offer an average battery life of twelve hours, so I was blown away by the longer battery life of one hundred and twenty hours when the headset is in standby mode. In terms of talk time, the headset will allow you to talk for up to eight hours before the battery needs a charge. If you want to listen to music while you ride, this model offers up to fifteen hours of streaming time, which is excellent. In terms of charging time, this headset will take about one hour to fully charge. Exchangeable Mic

I must caveat this with a few things. One, I don't like that when I'm in intercom mode, Bluetooth to my phone is disconnected so I can't hear Google maps directions. Not a big deal for me as I have a phone mount and can see the directions easily, plus Google maps talks to much lol. Second, the pairing is a little confusing, but once you understand the pairing scheme, it sorta makes sense. Next, we are not using any of the other features simply because we are not interested in them. But I can see if you wanted to also stream music or anything Bluetooth, not being able to use Bluetooth and intercom simultaneously would be a deal breaker. You can do this if your only connected to one other unit, it's the bridge functionality that stops the Bluetooth, so just have 2 people doesn't require a bridge and then you get full functionality. I'm not sure how this compares to the higher end Sena and Cardo systems, I'd have to imagine that for 2x the price they have better features. But I cannot imagine having a better connection, audio quality and wind/noise cancellation. It's dead quiet when nobody's talking, how does it get better than that? This model comes with Bluetooth enabled GPS navigation, which will come in handy when you’re traveling with other people. Use the conference feature to allow other riders in your party to listen in on GPS instructions, so you won’t get separated during heavy traffic. The GPS can clearly be heard through the speakers, thanks to the noise-canceling feature. Performance This model comes with a couple of mics, allowing you to choose between a boom mic for a flip face helmet or open face helmet, or a button mic for a full-face helmet. Waterproof Design Lexin is a popular name brand that most motorcycle riders are familiar with. Over the years, their headsets have continued to improve in terms of features, functionality, and overall reliability.

At dinner, we were talking and all concluded that this intercom does what we needed it to do, was surprisingly quiet all day, and has plenty of range. We never once lost connection other than the range test we performed. Next, you pair one end unit to a bridge unit on one motorcycle, and repeat for the second motorcycle. These pairings are done on channel 1 and use the vol + and intercom buttons. They pair the same way as the bridges.
