About this deal
I LOVE A FOUND FAMILY and this definitely had a lot of found family vibes đ One Kazi's side, I completely adored her relationship with SynovĂ© and Wren - you could tell they were best friends. And Jase's entire family was so amazing too! I loved seeing the groups form relationships and come together THE BIG QUESTION: Will I read the next book?>>>>YES!! I'm also considering reading the prequel series! I think Pearson's writing style is just too good. So much happens, but I love the dark and smokey atmosphere of adventure. I never got bored!!
Choose your words carefully, even the words you think, because they become seeds, and seeds become history.â
Dance of Thieves Series Order
Woke up at 6:15 on a random Thursday morning with the insane urge to read this book, and thank goodness I did because I was definitely missing out.
Dance of Thieves was brilliant, addictive and engaging. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. Pearson offers readers a wonderfully full-bodied story: harrowing, romantic, and full of myth and memory, fate and hope." â Booklist, starred review And every time she doesn't like something, she starts screaming, makes assumptions, and accuses the Ballenger family of all crimes against humanity, never giving anyone a chance to justify themselves because screw these guys. I love the way mary e. pearson writes, itâs so detailed yet not overwhelming, itâs simple yet holds so much, it just has me entranced with every word. hands down one of the best fantasy series Iâve read :D. Fine,â Wren agreed, impatiently blowing a dark curl from her forehead. She wanted to be on her way. The anticipation was wearing on all of us.Jase has just become Patrei after his father passed away, heâs basically king of his country. He knows that many of his fatherâs enemies wonât be too happy that heâs in charge now and when he sees Kazi causing a bit of mischief in his town, he gets curious. Though, itâs his curiosity that will be his doom for itâs not long after they meet that both Kazi and Jase are kidnapped by slave laborers to be taken to who-knows-where to be forced to work in harsh conditions until the keel over. Naturally, this idea doesnât make either of them happy and Kazi manages to free herself, Jase, and the other prisonersâŠonly they didnât get themselves unchained before losing the keys. Another thing I loved beyond the people and the world-building is the way the storyline unfolded. It felt like I could see secrets being discovered around every dark passageway throughout Tor's Watch. p.352 âą "Maybe sometimes life and fantasies and family did all go completely wrong. But I had loved and been loved deeply, and completely, not once, but twice in my life. I would not trade that for all the riches that Montegue had to offer." At the end there, I got a bit of an inkling that this may have been dystopian. I could be totally off, but isn't it a bit odd and too coincidental that the title of president would have popped up again? So my idea is that maybe the Ancient Ones were us, but way in the future, and their falling was some sort of disaster, perhaps one of their own making. I was thinking that maybe it was nuclear, but not quite nuclear as we know it. So then the scavengers could have been all crazed because of radiation poisoning. And the dust from the stars could have been some remnant of that nuclear power. I know that's all a bit far fetched, but it's interesting to think about. There were some parts where I did feel the story drag on and I had to put the book aside for a bit but I donât think I was ever bored. There was always something new to learn about in this world and I was absolutely fascinated by the Ballenger history and how their âkingdomâ began.
